Crown Commercial Service

Costs Lawyer Services

We are developing a new framework for costs lawyer services and want to get customer feedback.

As part of our pre-market engagement we are working with customers across government and the public sector to understand their business requirements and explore new market-leading pricing models.

The new framework will include:

  • costs consultancy and negotiation
  • cost estimates and statement of costs
  • advocacy and/or attending hearings
  • instructing counsel
  • providing advice
  • preparing costs budgets, bills of costs, points of dispute, replies and court forms

We will be holding customer engagement sessions in November. If you are interested in using this new framework and would like to get involved please get in touch stating ‘costs lawyers’ in the comments box.

We will also be holding supplier engagement sessions in early December to help shape the procurement.

Look out for further details in the Prior Information Notice (PIN) that will be published shortly.

Timelines

We anticipate publishing the PIN in November, the OJEU contract notice in January, with framework award in March 2019.
