NHS Digital recently contacted organisations who are currently connected to the Transition Network (previously N3), for confirmation of your plans for connectivity to the new Health and Social Care Network (HSCN).
If you have not confirmed your high level plans to procure HSCN connectivity, your organisation has automatically been enrolled onto an appropriate NHS Digital-led aggregated procurement. Find out what this means for your organisation.
If you have confirmed your intentions to obtain HSCN connectivity you should have received a letter from Dermot Ryan, HSCN Programme Director, explaining the next steps, depending on your chosen route.
The HSCN team is aiming to meet with organisations that are progressing a collaborative procurement of their own during August and September. There will also be a series of regional workshops later this year for organisations taking part in an NHS Digital-managed aggregated procurement. Further details will be provided in due course.
Guidance has been published online for these two options.
We are also working with NHS Digital on an agreement for HSCN Access Services (RM3825), which will be available for use in November 2017.
You will be able to use this agreement to buy your HSCN connectivity from compliant suppliers and benefit from a quicker, simpler procurement route and a competitive marketplace.
